Barbed Sutures

Peters Surgical Barbed Sutures Range

Peters Surgical offers a range of Darvin Loc Barbed Sutures with a Self-locking System for use in various surgical procedures requiring a continuous suture technique. These sutures are designed to eliminate the need for knot tying or passing through loops to fix the thread at the beginning of the suturing process.

How are made the Barbed Sutures

The Darvin Loc Barbed Sutures range is available in different materials, including absorbable and non-absorbable options, with a wide range of designs such as unidirectional with a Final Lock System or a unidirectional loop suture, and double-armed two-way with or without a Center Marker.

Barbed Sutures Main advantage

Suturing with Darvin Loc is characterized by a significantly higher number of fixation points, which is designed to even tension control and to improve adaptation to the wound edges. This could be especially useful for laparoscopic operations, where knotting and suturing can be challenging and time-consuming.
