“I have been very favorably impressed by the political will and pragmatism expressed by the Prime Minister and the Ministers in charge of Health, Industry and Research on the need to accelerate innovation and support French medtech abroad.
The medical technology sector, which is mainly made up of SMEs, suffers from extremely long delays in administrative processing for CE marking: 250 days according to our calculations at Péters Surgical, compared to an average of 180 days in Europe. A trully French handicap that results in market losses in Europe and Asia. Admittedly, the work on the reduction of administrative deadlines, that of the increase in human resources of LNE-G-MED will provide answers in the next three years.
However, in the immediate future, my concern remains for the daily life of my company. That is why I am already committed to interacting directly with the various ministers to concretely address them on issues so that solutions can be implemented very quickly. “
