The French College of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (SFCTCV) organizes annual training sessions dedicated to the initial education of future thoracic and cardiovascular surgeons. These meetings, which are mandatory and qualifying for the DES, combine theoretical teaching, interactive discussions, and skills assessment.

Alongside the academic sessions, the College develops supervised hands-on training, based on simulation and anatomical models, to help young surgeons build and strengthen their technical skills outside the operating room.

The 34th Annual Meeting of the Asian Society of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (ASCVTS) will take place in Antalya, Turkey, from April 16 to 19, 2026. This major international event will bring together the global cardiothoracic surgery community for a high-level scientific program.

Guided by the motto “Presence. Precision. Perspective.”, ASCVTS 2026 will feature sessions covering the latest developments in adult cardiac, congenital, thoracic, aortic, and hybrid surgery. The meeting will also encourage clinical, ethical, and collaborative reflection, going beyond technical innovation alone.

Joint sessions with the AATS, STS, and EACTS will further strengthen international exchange, making ASCVTS 2026 a key platform for knowledge sharing, education, and cross-generational dialogue in cardiothoracic surgery.

The SOFFCO.MM 2026 Congress will take place in Marseille on May 21–22, 2026, at the Palais des Congrès – Parc Chanot (CME on May 23). The event will bring together the bariatric and metabolic surgery community to explore the major developments shaping the specialty.

The program will highlight technological innovations such as robot-assisted surgery and endoscopy, key scientific and clinical challenges including combined therapies, and a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach.
