“We’re not making socks.”
This sentence perfectly captures the mindset of Hélène Delaunay, Team Leader Clips at our Domalain production site, where she has been working for ten years.
A key role at the heart of the manufacturing process
Hélène is responsible for coordinating and organizing the different stages of the haemostatic clip manufacturing process, ensuring objectives are met while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Her daily work involves managing the unexpected, analyzing issues, identifying root causes and implementing the best possible solutions, always with a strong team spirit.
“What I really enjoy is the team’s daily commitment. Seeing everyone fully involved to reach our goals is incredibly rewarding.”
Handling the unexpected, together
In an industrial environment, unforeseen events are inevitable. Hélène recalls them with honesty and humor, including one memorable incident involving a forgotten water valve that flooded the site over a weekend.
More than an anecdote, it reflects the solidarity and collective mindset that define Domalain site.
Quality standards that match medical device requirements
There is no room for poorly managed urgency here.
Every decision matters, because the products manufactured are intended for use in operating rooms.
“We’re not making socks. We’re manufacturing medical devices.”
This responsibility is visible everywhere: on the walls, on screens, in procedures and in every daily action.
A career built on hands-on experience
Hélène did not start her career with a technical or industrial background. She began by setting up machines, learning everything on the job.
Learning, adapting and passing on knowledge are now core parts of her role as a Team Leader.
“It’s important to know where you’re going, and to bring the team along with you.”
What started as an unfamiliar job has become something much deeper.
“I do this job with passion. It’s more than a role, it’s become a real passion.”
Through The jobs you don’t see, Hélène represents those essential professions that work behind the scenes to ensure the quality and safety of medical devices.
